TOURIST FAMILY: A Boundaryless heartfelt Drama

ONE LINE:

A small family from Sri Lanka illegally migrated to Tamil Nadu to have a better future. To hide their original identity, they were trying to do a lot. Did they succeed or not?

Before the movie's release, they released a promo that grabbed much attention and drew more audience to the theatres. From the first scene itself, the movie made much laugh and maintained the mood for the entire film, also all the emotions and characters were utilised perfectly with a fine nod.

As they were Eelam Tamizhars, their slang slightly differs from that of Tamil Nadu. With this small part, the writer has made a massive impact on the screenplay. He used it for comedy, investigative, emotional, and to make the drama more interesting. The reason for their entry is that Sri Lanka is facing a big economic collapse, so they departed from Velvettithurai.

In many places, the comedy worked very well, and the emotions too, but in some places it lacks grip, and some scene goes too emotional, too melodramatic in the second half. All these flaws were faded by the acting, casting, scene construction, and the intention of the filmmaker.

TOURIST FAMILY: A Boundaryless heartfelt Drama

Politically, it is a strong film; it perfectly stands on the side of the oppressed and raises a huge voice by delivering it in a comical way. Each character has their importance and a complete arc of characterization. Eventhough the climax slightly came out from the realistic nature of the movie, it was perfectly handled by many political satires like language imposition, favouritism, lockup death, and many.

One of my favourite scene - As the old lady dies, her husband is crying that her father who said, "You will die alone, if you go with him" at the time, when they eloped at their young age. By hearing this hero gathered all neighbours to make his saying wrong, when her father reached there and felt heartfull. So if you find someone nearby your house who eloped or forcefully placed aside by a group of people from their hometown, be their companion, be a friend, be nice, and be truely helpful.

The onscreen chemistry between Sasikumar and Simran worked very well, also all the crew members performed so well, the dialogues were good, Sean Rolden's music gave a perfect soul, A good light tone cinematography. Million dollar pictures hat-trick success, all this effect created a big impact that A film with a small production value can make a big impact at the box office. The only thing that matters is content, not a big fancy casting or a production house. A must-watch film for everyone, enjoy it in the Theatres.
